Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the RisePal app, website, and related services. By using RisePal, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use RisePal.

1. What RisePal is

RisePal is a social alarm and wake-up accountability app. It allows users to create alarms, choose sounds, use wake-up challenges, connect with buddies, exchange wake-up interactions, and access related features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction, to use RisePal. By using the app, you confirm that you are allowed to do so.

3. Your account

You are responsible for:

keeping your login credentials secure
providing accurate account information
activity that occurs under your account

You may not impersonate another person or use the service in a deceptive or abusive way.

4. Your use of the app

You may use RisePal for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

You agree not to:

misuse the app
interfere with the service or its security
harass, threaten, or abuse other users
upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
attempt unauthorized access to any account, system, or data

5. Buddy features and user content

RisePal includes social features, including buddy requests, messages, reactions, sound swaps, voice clips, drawings, and wake-up interactions.

You are responsible for the content you create or send through the app.

You keep ownership of the content you submit, but you give RisePal a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate the service.

If you send content to a buddy through the app, you understand that the intended recipient may access that content within the app.

6. Alarms and reliability

RisePal is designed to help users wake up and stay accountable, but it is not guaranteed to wake you up in every circumstance.

You should not rely on RisePal as your sole alarm or reminder for:

emergencies
medication
flights
exams
work shifts
legal obligations
safety-critical events

Use backup methods where needed. RisePal is a convenience and productivity tool, not a guaranteed emergency or safety system.

7. Paid features and subscriptions

RisePal may offer paid subscriptions or premium features.

If you purchase a subscription:

billing is handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, or another authorized payment provider
subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel before renewal
pricing will be shown before purchase
you can manage or cancel subscriptions through your app store account settings
refunds are governed by the policies of the platform through which you purchased

We may change, add, remove, or reprice features or plans in the future, but changes will not retroactively alter charges already made unless required by law.

8. Intellectual property

RisePal and its branding, software, design, and original content are owned by RisePal or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not give you ownership of the app or our intellectual property.

9. Termination

You may stop using RisePal at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you:

violate these Terms
abuse other users
misuse the service
create risk or legal exposure for us or other users

Where reasonable, we may provide notice, but we are not required to do so in every case.

10. Privacy

Your use of RisePal is also governed by our Privacy Policy: risepal.app/privacy-policy

11. Third-party services

RisePal may integrate with third-party services such as login providers, cloud hosting, notification services, app stores, and subscription tools. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies.

12. Disclaimers

RisePal is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that:

the app will always be available
the app will always be error-free
alarms will always ring or be heard
notifications will always be delivered on time
buddy interactions will always be delivered without delay

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RisePal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed events, missed alarms, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Changes to the service or Terms

We may modify the app, its features, and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice.
